Budgerigars, commonly known as budgies, are small parrots with enormous personalities. They are intelligent, active, social, and naturally curious. Despite their small size, budgerigars need substantial mental and physical stimulation.

Budgies should never be considered "easy" simply because they are small. Their physical size does not reduce their behavioural or welfare needs.
