Comparison of the pastel face mutation, heterocigots, and homocigots:

The pastel face mutation must be noted that it is a recessive mutation, therefore it needs the father and the mother to manifest in the bird, either through carriers or through pure pastels (visible ones). This means that both must be or carry it to have a pure pastel face bird.
The pastel face mutation must distinguish between heterocigots, pure pastels mixed with white face, and pure pastels or homocigots.
The pastel face mutation shares genes with white face, so it will always prevail over white face in the case of pure pastels, as we cross a white face with a pure pastel, it will always give pure pastels, but these will be heterocigots or not pure.
The peculiarity of the pure pastel is that it can produce white faces and pastel faces, the pure one cannot, as we have said, pure pastel sharing genes with white face, pure pastels always prevail, let's say the pastel mutation is stronger. When we cross two pure heterocigots pastels, the white face from the two pastels will never produce pure pastels, the white face can never produce pure pastels, the pastel can, however, produce cbs.
The heterocigots of the homocigots are easy to distinguish, we proceed with the comparison in photos.
It is easy to see how some heterocigots specimens have a white face bordering on white, some say coming from the cb, when the pure pastels do not show this detail. The yellow ones are much prettier and more striking in the pure than in the non-pure ones. Aviary Nazarí
